Holidays in Tenerife

The Carnival in February constitutes the most famous celebration of tourist interest of all Tenerife. The legend recalls that the Carnival was celebrated in the island in the first years of the colonization. Today it conserves the grace and the joy of the disguises and the masquerades ones, with the addition of comparsas, murgas and rondallas. Showy and very cared; their dances and disguises remember the carnivals of Brazil. Besides the parades, the celebration extends and infecting beaches, where the celebration does not finish till the dawn.

For two evident reasons the water sports are practiced in Tenerife: the sea and the good time. In the island any aquatic water sport can be practiced: surfing, guards, diving, fishing in all modalities…

But, by all means, the island also offers the possibility of realising any sport outside the water. There are magnificent golf courses, horse clubs, squash and tennis courts,… and one complete network of tourist footpaths.
